I’ve now used Amazon Virtual Voice for five of my novels, and I’ve learned how much of a difference careful review can make.
Virtual Voice is a powerful tool for authors who want to offer audiobook editions of their published eBooks through KDP/Amazon, but the narration still benefits from a human review — especially when it comes to pronunciation, pacing, and overall listening flow.
Need help reviewing your Amazon Virtual Voice audiobook? Book through my Upwork profile.
I’m now offering services for KDP/Amazon authors as an Amazon KDP Virtual Voice Audiobook Reviewer.
My basic service includes:
- Listening to the full audiobook
- Editing pronunciation issues
- Adjusting pacing for smoother narration flow
- Helping the final audiobook sound more polished and listener-friendly
My expanded service also includes noting possible manuscript issues I hear during the audiobook review, such as
- Repeated words
- Missing words
- Character name consistency
- Identification of obvious typos heard in narration
- Continuity issues and story inconsistencies noticed
As an author who has gone through this process with my own books, I understand how time-consuming it can be to review every chapter carefully. My goal is to help other authors save time while improving the quality of their Virtual Voice audiobooks. Authors interested in help with their Amazon Virtual Voice audiobook review can message me directly or hire me through Upwork.
Basic Service – $20 per finished hour
Expanded Service – $30 per finished hour
A finished hour is one hour of completed, final audiobook audio.
For example, if an audiobook is 6 finished hours, that means the final listenable audiobook is 6 hours long from beginning to end.
It does not mean the amount of time it takes to review or edit. Reviewing one finished hour can take longer than one actual hour because you may need to stop, replay sections, fix pronunciations, adjust pacing, and check the narration flow.
So if someone says a book is 5 finished hours, that means the final audiobook length is about 5 hours, even if the review/editing process takes several additional hours.
You only pay for the finished hours, not the additional time.
